We had a wonderful final dinner on Thursday night.
Saying goodbye to Siena and our new friends, especially Silvia and Claudia was difficult.
But this is NOT goodbye, Siena, only Arrivederci (till the next time)!

An exhibition, travel journals and more.....
The painting students exhibited their work at the Didee gallery space in Siena. The paintings looked wonderful and the event was well-attended.
There was a write-up in the local paper and even the mayor of Siena attended.
Friends and faculty joined the students at the reception.
A good time was had by all!
The students in the travel journal produced some wonderful and original journals that captured their experiences and responses to Siena. In addition to drawing and writing they also used mixed-media.

Thanksgiving, Rome and more......
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner a night early so that we could leave the next morning for the ancient city of Roma.
As one student said "it was the most delicious turkey he had ever eaten". We all agreed. The pumpkin pasta and pumpkin cheese souffle weren't too shabby either.
Visiting the Roman Forum and the Vatican Museum were highlights of our excursion. Here we stopped to admire some ancient roman statues.
Jules and Dani had their picture taken with a Swiss guard at the Vatican.
Siena is full of surprises; including the Accademia dell Fisiocritici Museo, a historical museum of natural history with incredible specimens displayed the same as they were centuries ago.
